Noodlybark’s Frank Prem and Leanne Murphy spend their time puddling around with ideas... mostly on themes of home and garden, food and cooking, laughing and loving and living well and the necessary rituals that make up each day, and also of their place in the grand scheme of things, and how to turn even the smallest task into a work of art, or a poem, or a song... or at least an act of pleasure and contentment.
Being of the relatively quiet and home-bound variety, they occasionally venture beyond the bounds of their hectare property in Stanley (Victoria, Australia) to share their work here or there at various get-togethers and gatherings. Their Border Collie Leelu, also demands a twice-daily walk around one or other of the many local tracks, which provides ample inspiration for the next poem or song.
The Noodlybark Philosophy is... if it tickles the funny bone, twitches the nose, tingles the taste buds, turns on the grey matter, and touches the heart, then it could be worth planting, growing, harvesting, bottling, cooking, sharing and savouring... if it inspires a spontaneous fit of wild and wonderful woofing, a midnight romp of furry nakedness under the full of the moon, or a furious session of snuffling about in the long grass chasing the remnants of a curious notion, then it could be worth recording, painting, photographing or writing about... if it bubbles up from nowhere, curls itself about the little finger, tugs on the hand to come and play out in the sunshine for a bit, then it could be worth following...
