Leelu may be living a parallel life as a sheep dog on some wild and windswept coastline in the south of Wales, but in this reality, she’s a comfort queen and pretty much rules the lounge room, lying regally on her chaise whilst looking out the window and occasionally woofing at anyone who dares to even think of coming near the mailbox.

Her other interests revolve around the car, the tennis ball, the backyard bone and the tasty morsels that can usually be counted on three times a day, perhaps more if baking has occurred.

She first offered to be Leanne’s muse in 2002, providing inspiration for the waltz-time love ballad, Leelu, and then extended that generosity to Frank and his writing in 2005.

And yes... she’s been at it ever since.
